Mesocycle 01 · The foundation block
Metabolic
Very high reps and short rest. This block builds skill, proprioception, conditioning and work capacity, teaching the body to move well and earning the right to load. Where many clients begin.

Hypertrophy
Moderate reps and honest volume that add lean muscle, the tissue that later moves real weight. The backbone of most transformations, and where change becomes visible.

Functional hypertrophy
Lower reps, heavier load. Where size becomes usable strength and the muscle you built starts to express force. The bridge between building and getting heavy.

Strength
Low reps, heavy and controlled. Maximal and relative strength, expressing everything, skill, muscle and capacity, that you built to earn the right to load this way.

Power
Speed and rate of force. Explosive intent, low reps, full recovery. The elite extension for athletes and advanced clients chasing performance, not just strength.

The continuum is the map, your goal is the route. A beginner may spend their blocks in the metabolic and hypertrophy zones; someone chasing strength moves through functional hypertrophy into strength; an athlete adds power. Same four-phase structure, sequenced for you.
